Polo Ralph Lauren signed an important new licensing agreement that would generate millions of dollars in new revenues provided the necessary warehouse and distribution capabilities could be put in place in an abbreviated amount of time. PRL contacted Stantec Consulting Services and Kirkland in July to create space for one million new garments on hangers (GOH) by November. Project specifics: • PRL added 750,000 GOH with the same delivery date for a total of 1,750,000 GOH. • Project size - 350,000 square feet (size of six football fields). • Project completed in 3 1/2 months - one week ahead of schedule and below Kirkland's original cost estimate. • 3.5 million pounds of steel designed, fabricated, shipped, and installed. • Unique fire suppression and air distribution system designed and installed. • Zero lost days or major accidents.
